Saving Women From the Church: How Jesus Mends a Divide

Saving Women from the Church: How Jesus Mends a Divide

If you have ever faced discrimination in the church because you are a woman, you will find healing in this book. Each chapter begins with a contemporary story of a woman who has dealt with injustice and bias in the church. This is the problem; Jesus provides a solution in his own interactions with women in the Bible. Each chapter includes a “Just What Was Jesus Doing?” section to provide enlightenment about the culture of Jesus’ time, as well as questions for reflection or group discussion. Appendices address a frequently misunderstood passage (1 Tim. 2:11-15) and also the topic of hermeneutics, or Biblical interpretation.
